About the Cincinnati High Holiday Guide 2021

We want to provide you with all the information you need to help you decide where to spend the High Holiday season and welcome in 5782. Try out a couple different communities, and see what you like. There are clickable links to websites, full schedules, and additional information, so click around. Come and find your community and be with others virtually or in-person during this holiday season. Worried that you’ll show up and won’t know anybody? Let us know and we’ll connect you with someone!

Holiday Dates

All Jewish holidays begin and end at sunset. Many organizations have services on the evening the holiday starts (erev). Some organizations also add a Selichot service, which can include some study, prayers particular to the High Holidays, and the changing of Torah covers to special covers for the holidays (which are usually white).
